We couldn't find a stick of sage in Dubai. So we started The Urban Calm.
For years, my husband Riz and I lived fast corporate lives. On the move. Plugged in. Overwhelmed. We'd come home looking for calm and walk straight into more noise.
So we began small. We cleared surfaces, simplified corners, and kept only what we loved. Our home grew quieter — and so did we.
Then we turned to our nights. Softer light, a calmer bedroom, a few minutes to put the day down. Good sleep changed everything that came after it.
Then our minds. Journaling. Reading. Setting intentions. Sitting down every few months to look honestly at each part of our lives — where we were, where we wanted to be — and making a plan to get there.
Along the way, we went looking for palo santo and white sage to reset our home. We couldn't find them anywhere in Dubai. That small frustration became The Urban Calm.
Making space at home made space in me, too. I found the courage to leave my corporate job, step into modelling at 40, and walk a stage I once believed was out of reach — Miss Universe India. Riz and I both left corporate life to build something that gives us freedom of time and space.
We don't believe in more. We believe in the right things: a home that lets you exhale, nights that let you rest, and a mind clear enough to invite in real abundance — love, light, joy, good work and good people.
Everything we sell is something we choose, use and love ourselves. Small rituals. Five minutes at a time.
Welcome to The Urban Calm.
